Our 7th Annual Wake The Lake took place Friday, June 16th and Saturday, June 17th and we here at River Valley Marine can confidently say that it was the best one yet! We had a great turnout and GORGEOUS weather which always helps to make a summer event wonderful.
Friday started off at Lord Fletcher’s with an in-water boat show and demo rides for our interested buyers. We had a record number of boats on display this year. Between the parking lot and the docks, 32 boats were on display, a true boat show! On the water we unveiled 2 boats that had never yet been seen by the Lake Minnetonka market; the all-new Cobalt R35 and Chris-Craft’s first ever all-electric boat, the 25GTe Concept. Both of these new boats were total show-stoppers and super fun to see on this lake.
At 5pm, our beloved VIP Party started and wow did we have a great crowd. We had over 300 people on the deck and all created an amazing atmosphere for the event. The 70’s Magic Sunshine Band put on an amazing performance, Lord Fletcher’s cooked up some wonderful food, and Dragon’s Fire Theater’s fire dancers were incredible! For the 2nd year now, we did a boat parade throughout the night to highlight the boat brands that we are proud to offer to our customers. To bring attention to the theme of the year, The Catalina Wine Mixer, we had lots of wine samples and delicious wine slushies! We capped off the night with a grand fireworks show that never disappoints.
We have so many people to thank for the success of Friday’s event. Our biggest thank you has to go to Lord Fletcher’s for always being amazing partners and hosts for this event. We are also grateful to all of our manufacturers for attending and helping to bring our brands to life on the lake; Bennington Pontoons, Centurion & Supreme, Cobalt Boats, Chris-Craft, Yamaha Marine, Volvo Penta, and Mercury Motors. Huge thank you to Firefighters For Healing for coming out and running a silent auction, together we raised over $2,400 for burn survivors and their families! We hope you didn’t miss the fabulous cars from Nissan and Morries Luxury Auto or the drinks from Remy Contreau, Grayduck and Josh Wine. All the sweet pictures and any video from the event were all from Witta Creative Studios, the best in the business! Lastly, thank you to our entertainment for the night, Dragon’s Fire Theater and The 70’s Magic Sunshine Band. What a great night!
Saturday, day 2 of the festivities was another beautiful day, sunshine and 80 for our Ride & Drive event. We started off the day with a bloody mary and mimosa bar by Lord Fletcher’s, how can you go wrong with that? All the boats on display the previous night made their way back to our store at 1444 Shoreline Drive for another day of demo rides! Lord Fletcher’s also stayed to provide us with a wonderful cookout of burgers and brats.
