Salute to Service Heroes Tour – Giving Back to Military Families

2020 River Valley Centurion Salute To Service Heroes Tour

Bringing families together through lifelong memories made on the water is what we do best, because we believe a boat is more than a piece of fiberglass. Providing this same togetherness to honor men and women and their families who serve our country is our extreme privilege.

This year we are showing our appreciation by creating the River Valley Centurion Salute to Service Heroes Tour. The event provides military veterans and their families with access to water sports. We believe by doing so, we can help heal the emotional wounds of military veterans and their families. We support the healing by providing veterans with an environment to enjoy a worry free day on the water.

Through weekend events during the summer all around Minnesota, participants are able to relax and be challenged with trying watersports like wake surfing and wakeboarding behind a brand-new world-class Centurion tow boat provided by River Valley Marine. Partnered with the United Heroes League, the core of the tour will consist of 9 surf days on a Minnesota lake of recipient’s choice. There are over 15 different lakes available to choose from. A few lucky families will have the opportunity to learn to surf with a professional athlete.

The limited-edition Salute to Service Centurion Ri237 tow boat will also be making appearances at other events throughout the summer of 2020. Such as at boat shows, golf tournaments, parades, galas and more.

Without each and every one of our partners we would not be able to make this happen. Supplies like surf boards and ropes will be provided by local Minnesota company, Idol Surf. Additional organizations such as United Heroes League, Wounded Warriors United, Home Town Heroes, Band of Brothers and the Yellow Ribbon Organization are a few other partners who help make this event possible.

If you are a veteran or know a veteran who would like to surf with us this summer please email Jeremey.Wahlberg@rivervalleyinc.com. Jeremy is a retired First Sergeant who worked for the Army National Guard for 28 years and will be the boat captain for the tour, he also works for River Valley Marine.
