Alumacraft FAQS
Alumacraft
Q: Do Alumacraft boats come with accessories?
A: We do not install accessories. We would like our customers to choose their accessories with the guidance from our marine service center.
Q: What motors do the Alumacraft boats come with?
A: Our 2021 Alumacrat boats are installed with Mercury motors. Mercury Marine®, a division of Brunswick corporation and a world leader in marine propulsion systems, has entered into a strategic supply agreement with BRP to be the supplier of choice for motors for the Alumacraft line of boats.
Q: Are there any promotions available?
A: Military, Youth discount program and Alumacash Sales may be available with specific models. (subject to change).
Q: What are the benefits with the Alumacraft boats to stay dry in rough water?
A: Larger spray rails. Large, reverse-dispersal spray rails deflect backsplash more effectively for a drier ride even in rough conditions.
Q: Are the boats durable?
A: Yes they offer a double thick hull called a 2XB and they are the thickest hulls made today and they have had the 2XB hull since 1996.
Q: Are the aluminum hulls quiet?
A: They are indeed quiet. They are a one piece bottom plate with a second set of plates on top of the one piece bottom plate. This adds to the overall quietness to the hull sounding more like a fiberglass boat than an Aluminum. Also adds superior strength as if something is doubled up it usually will be 2 times as strong.
Q: Do the boats provide a dry ride for all passengers?
A: With a One piece bottom the bottom can be form rolled and the water is then directed away from the boat at a very low trajectory. Keeping the water low and away from the boat keeps everyone dry in most any wind conditions. This is often called the Alumacraft Gull Wing Design.
Q: Will I ever have to replace the transom on an Alumacraft?
A: Never!! They went to an all metal transom in 2018 and there is no wood to ever rot out. They have made this change in the Escape models on up.
